Bear is currently studying the lay of the land, perhaps trying to determine where next he might explore when he's feeling up to it. He has several tomes of local topography and a couple to do with history in one corner of the library, and while of course by necessity he is quiet, he is also open to conversation with any persons that might happen into the library, as well. [[OOC: any PCs that might want to RP a little between sessions, I figured it'd be nice to get a chance to get to know each other better. Anyone who wants to post is welcome. Since we're in the library, watch out for talking TOO loudly...Sethel might kick us out. ]]

Sethel watches Bear with approval from his small desk in the corner. Next to the desk is a sign:
Banned Patrons of the Sweetgrove Library Bertrak the Druid

Velira inquires of Sethel if he has any books or papers on nearby Elvish settlements.
*gives a nod of acknowledgment to Bear while waiting on Sethel*

Bear smiles and waves to Velira, gesturing for her to join him at the table he's got his pile of books upon.

Sethel smiles broadly at Velira, "Why, yes! We happen to have a few books on that subject. If I recall their names, they were Intelligent Flora and Fauna, The Deposition of the Mad Queen, and A Biography On Sentiloras. Quite an impressive collection, if I do say so myself."

Vel thanks Sethel for his assistance and goes to gather the mentioned books and joins Bear at the table.
'Quel re Bear (good day), I have found that it is always a good idea to ensure one knows as much about the history of ones kind in any area. Be it good, bad, or indifferent, it always seems to effect how one is received.
Plus I have to say, anything titled The Deposition of the Mad Queen, sounds like it should be entertaining!

"A good day to you as well, miss Velira." Bear nods as she sits down, and keeps his voice low.
When she mentions the deposing of Mad Queens, he grins. "Well, let me know the specifics once you've read through, ey? Never know when something like that might come in handy."
That said, he seems to focus on the map he has open of the swampland, and scratches out notes in a dusty book of cheap paper with his left hand. His right is occupied with marking potential points of interest on the map itself.

Alice, wearing a robe and crown, creeps up to the Librarian's desk and whispers hoarsely to Sethel,
"Pssst. I'm looking for rumors, legends, myths, or trivia about memory draughts, Lethe water, forgetting oils, or other liquids that affect the mind like that."

Sethel looks thoughtful for a moment, "I.. believe I remember seeing something like that in Faerie Tales and Fables of the Aeridian Empire, it should be over there," he gestures, "but, Miss Alice... why do you want to know?"

Alice clears her throat and poses regally, one hand on her chest, and whispers as loudly as she can,
"Healing wounds of the flesh is like child's play for an accomplished apothecary such as myself, but the wounds that grieve my custo-er, my patients the most are wounds of the mind and wounds of the heart! A man that drinks away 100 gold.coins every week is just as sick as a woman who is covered in yellow mold spores and coughing uncontrollably."

Sethel grimaces slightly, "I... see. Well, enjoy the book, Miss Alice." He returns to his paper work.

*Avarice walks quietly into the Library, and approaches Sethel politely.
"Maester Librarian, I've heard rumors of lands to the South which may relate to my heritage. Do you know of any books in your care that originate from that time in history? Barring that, do you have any which mention local cities that may have once been located in this area with ties to the fallen empire of Bael Turath? Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated."

"I wish I could help you with this Ba-el Tu-rath place, but I fear that this region has been settled and resettled by so many kingdoms and empires over millenia that it's hard for even a sage of my own prodigious talent to remember them all." Sethel ponders for a moment, "Now, if you wanted information on the Thaumartan Empire, I might be able to help. Some of their structures still stand in the region. I hear that boy wizard wanted to investigate a nearby cistern for example." He shrugs, "Anyway, I wish I could be of more help, sir."

Velira returns to the Library shortly after opening. She sees that the table where she and Bear sat a few days ago is still open, not surprisingly, Bear is not there. It is still early and Bear has proven to not be a morning person.
Good morn' Sethel. I've come back to renew my perusal of the books you directed me towards last time. I was also wondering if you had anything on the care and cultivation of cave moss?
