Sethel raises an eyebrow, "Cave moss specifically? Not that I can think of, but I'm sure that you could find something relevant in Flora of the Southern Reaches. As for the books from last time, they're all still around. Feel free to continue reading any or all of them!"

Thank you for your continued assistance.
Velira starts to walk towards the book stacks, then remembers something she wanted to ask Sethel.
One last question. Do you take any commissions for books, manuscripts or maps? And if so, what are the rates/most in demand?

Sethel appears puzzled, "Commissions? Did you wish me to write a book or draw a map for you, miss?"

No. I was thinking of writing down some of the things I have encountered in my travels over the years. I have several rough maps and diary pieces that I can easily transcribe into a more professional appearance.
I have been toying with the idea of writing the adventures/encounters, based in fact and on true stories, but with a 'fictional' main protagonist, and under a pseudonym of course, to protect the guilty..er innocent. *gives Sethel a grin*
I've seen similar books in other towns that have done well. Many of the libraries are starting to make some decent coin off them to help maintain or update their regular resources. They are selling small almost pamphlet versions of the main stories, while maintaining a single leather bound collection, the exclusive nature of an author only selling to one library is generating quite the publicity for those libraries.
They sell really well to the younger townsfolk, adventurers, bards, and travelers. It also helps generate more normal business for the libraries. Especially encouraging the younger folks to read and learn.
If you are at all interested, I could provide you with some sample/test materials, and we can see if it there is a market here in Sweetgrove for this sort of thing. From what I've heard from many of the town merchants, they need anything that will bring more people/business into town. And this is one area I think you and I can assist in that.
Think it over, and let me know. I'll be in to visit often. I enjoy reading when I have the downtime.

Sethel smiles brightly, "Yes, yes! that would be most excellent. The library here has a wonderful non-fictional selection, but we are sorely lacking in the more um.. entertaining features? Such regular entertaining works could lead to our library being the envy of even some of the most popular libraries in all the Kingdom! Please give me a sample as soon as possible, and I'll see what I can give you in the way of compensation." He nods enthusiastically.

"Very well. I shall try to have something soon, sir. Please do not speak of our arrangement with anyone. I wish to remain anonymous as the writer, some previous traveling companions may not be too happy about being referred to in such a work, even if not named directly, as I am sure you can imagine."
Vel leaves Sethel to continue with her readings. She is eager to read the conclusion of the story of the Mad Queen.

Upon finishing The Disposition of the Mad Queen, Velira quickly makes some notes about a few possible leads to follow up.
Talking to herself out loud, "Hmm. That is quite interesting. I will have to talk to Bear about it. Maybe he has some ideas or read something in his research similar."
She then quickly scans through Flora of the Southern Reaches making a few notes on the cultivation of mosses. Also stops to make some notes on wild mushrooms. She promises herself to read this book more thoroughly later.
Velira looks at her remaining two Elvish books and ponders which to read next.
*grinning she reaches into her satchel and pulls out a coin*
"Heads is Sentiloras. Tails is Flora & Fauna."
*flips coin*
"Sentiloras it is..." Velira picks up the book and begins reading.

(OOC: There is interesting stuff in the books, but I can't post long, interesting posts from my cell phone at work so it'll have to wait until Sat or Sunday at the earliest, sorry!)

[[OOC: I call shenanigans! Everyone knows cellphones are GREAT for typing long drawn out posts/emails....No worries. I can wait. Impatiently. Checking forums every 5 mins. *refresh*.....
Perhaps instead of posting it, email or PM it to me, and I can work in the 'retelling' to the group or as rumors in a more RP fashion. Either way works for me!]]
