Avarice and his crew approach the warehouse under the cover of darkness. They've brought backpacks and such for moving the goods within. Avarice has the key given to him by "T" and is planning on reviewing the goods before deciding how best to proceed. Lokiin is at his side, Merrith and Merrick are flanking the doors and Jacinth is across the street in a perch giving him the ability to support them if necessary. Avarice looks back at Jacinth, waiting for the signal that the surrounding area is free of potential enemies and witnesses. Once received, he will open the door.

Jacinth gestures to indicate that the area is clear. Lokiin grins in anticipation.

Avarice slides the complicated key into the unassuming lock, and twists. He motions to Lokiin to be ready to backstab anything that might be waiting for them in there but doesn't ready a weapon himself, instead prefering to let his people handle it for him. He opens the door, scanning the room with his infravision and calling out directions if necessary.

The warehouse is about 20 feet square and is completely empty except for a single sealed crate in the middle of the room.

Avarice heads towards the chest. At this point, if this was a trap it would have already sprung. He approaches the chest, and inspects it to find if it's locked, and if so he uses his key on it. If not, he opens it.

The crate has been nailed shut and does not budge. Lokiin pulls a crowbar from her sack and smirks, "Maybe this'd help?" she says, offering it to Avarice.

Avarice raises his eyebrow at her, and takes the crowbar from her. He wedges it underneath the lid of the crate and pushes down on it.

Inside the crate are three small statues of snarling animals. A wolf, tiger, and bear. They appear to be made out of jade. The crate is packed with fresh straw.

Avarice removes the statues one at a time, placing each one in a separate backback and packing the backpack with straw to cushion them. After preparing the statues for travel, he sifts through the crate, searching for anything else that may be within.

Aside from copious amounts of packing straw, the crate contains nothing more.

Avarice motions for Merrick and Merrith to join Zokiin and himself in the warehouse. He hands each one a backpack, and they make their way out of the warehouse, making sure to close the door and lock it on their way out. They head back to McGinty's.
