Just a note! Fletcher is one of Thran's stronger allies, but currently in kind of a funk, and possibly seeking a forgetfulness potion through Alice. If she succeeds in getting him to drink something like that, then Avarice could count both of them as potential allies.
Worth noting that both of them currently uphold the law-- in Alice's case, I think because it's convenient for her potionmaking business, but in Fletcher's case, because he used to be a lawman. If he forgot, that could change, possibly permanently.

I wonder what the ingredient list on that thing would be... I was thinking of trying to turn Fletcher against Thran by showing him the note and explaining that it was all racism based and that there was no real merit to any of it... but that sounds much less fun then stealing his allies and running him out of town... if it comes to that, of course. I'm really hoping for the apology/support speech and an ever-present glower afterwards... we'll see, I guess. I definitely love the Alice character, though. I'd like to involve her in more of the in-between session stuff for Avarice... Neutral Evils have to stick together, right?

Until they kill each other in inevitable betrayal, hahaha!
Fletcher is lawful, a family man whose family was stolen from him, and kind of dour even on his better days, so I wouldn't recommend you let him find out that you threatened Thran's family.
Alice is pretty awesome! Her player currently has a game on Monday nights, though so we gotta figure something out to make sure you can meet him!

Whoa whoa whoa... I never threatened Thran's family. I've threatened him in response to him threatening me, that's all. Now I'm gathering intel on a potential enemy. Like I said, it's not my intention to give him no choice but to attack me... it's just how my character would react to some backwater official trying to intimidate him... he's from a family of devil worship that was part of one of the largest empires in the history of the realms... and a noble, to boot. He wouldn't take that shit, plain and simple. Avarice is NEUTRAL evil... I'm not planning on starting a cult in sweetgrove or anything... just not going to get pushed around by the MAN.

Honestly most of my aspirations for Alice are to make her NPC-like: supply potions and one day raises/ressurections for evil people who can't get those services from the chapel of Pelor, and one day hire people to do quests for/with her. But, going down in a blaze of evil is far more entertaining!

Those of us who don't worship that racist dick Pelor appreciate that! I like the idea of a a NPC that has the capability to become a PC at any time... it makes the NPC/PC interation more dynamic.

All the best PC retirements involve the character "coming out of retirement" every now and then!
