I don't know who you are, but if you think you can walk into my town and threaten people into paying for your grisly trophies, you have another thing coming.
My scouts reported that you travel with the Beast. That's good, I'll only need half as many guards to keep an eye on you both.

Captain Thran,
So THAT’S why you didn’t show up to McGinty’s to support our petition! I’m a little surprised, in all honesty, that you weren’t the first one through the door, what with the petition’s potential to help address the safety of the outlying areas surrounding the town which your meager attempts to rectify have been less than successful at (to say the least). You ARE the Captain of the Watch, are you not? Shouldn’t you stand up and applaud the fact that the townspeople care enough about their town to support steps introduced to improve it? In fact, I bet the town would love to hear you say that… exactly. After that, we can bury the hatchet… making the speech just allows you to choose where. At the end of the day, I’ve done more good for the town in the past 24 hours than you have in the past 24 months. Think of it this way – the day that I decided to start getting involved, I;
1.) Allied with 6 other adventurers, all of which could best any of your guards.
2.) Cleared out the lower levels of a notoriously monster-infested ruin.
3.) Supplied the local shops with a bevy of conversation pieces with real value, including an Onyx Statuette of Telchur worth hundreds, if not thousands of GP.
4.) Instigated a change in the local government, with the support of the townspeople.
Don’t tempt me to see what I can do tomorrow. If we’re both watching our backs, remember – I can see in the dark… can you?

I could fine you for threats to any member of the Watch Guard and throw you in a cell for threatening the Captain. Consider this your one warning.

Who said anything about threats? I thought we were just taking this opportunity to clearly state where we stood on the issue in question... my, my... I truly hope that you don't take that pathetic tendency to attempt to intimidate those you disagree with home to your wife Isabelle. I can't imagine that either or your sons would appreciate that - especially in that apartment you call a home. I digress... you and your family's well being is clearly your responsibilty and not mine. I'll be sure to keep that bit of information in the forefront of my mind. I appreciate you setting me straight on that. Rest assured, I won't EVER forget it.
