Black Ryan frowns, "Then yer bag's long gone, lad. Oi've never seen nothin' survive th' grubby fingers o' the likes o' sailors. If oi see any Malarites, oi'll give 'em a bleedin' lip for ye, though."

"Thanks for that, Maester Ryan. Seeing as the boats aren't moving, if a sailor DID find it, it would be on one of the boats still, or in a shop in town... are you opposed to me asking your workers if they've seen anything in the last day or two?"

A group of sailors offers to show you to your bag for 50gp but then they notice Black Ryan shaking his head at them and apologize, returning to their work. From the look of them and the way they offered, they were almost certainly lying. None of the other dockworkers speak up, leading Avarice to conclude that Polliver or his Hunters must have taken the bag away the night of the fight.

Avarice glares at the sailors, but after the last couple of days, he's willing to let it go without incident. He walks back to town, thinking on what to do now that he knows for sure that he won't be able to easily retrieve the merchandise.
