As night falls, Avarice heads to Bishop Joachim's Apartment. He approaches the door and knocks.

Joachim answers the door himself dressed in finery as if he's about to go out for the evening, "Ah. Hello, Avarice, I was about to head to Fendrick's for dinner, but I could speak to you for a short time. Come into my parlor." He gestures to a set of comfortable chairs.

"I only require a moment of your time, Bishop" Avarice assures Joachim as he enters the room and takes a seat after the Bishop sits. "I have come into the possession of a set of statuettes that appear to be related to the God Malar. I was hoping that you could verify their relationship and evaluate whether or not they're safe to possess. Also, if you're knowledgeable on the subject, I'd like to place a value on them and arrange for them to be traded to specifically interested parties, if you understand what I mean." Avarice pulls out the Jade Statuette, carved into the likeness of a Wolf, and presents it to the Bishop.

Joachim eyes the statue curiously, "Well. I see no danger inherent in the statue itself, but I'd recommend being wary of any who pray to Malar finding out that you possess such object."

Avarice inwardly sighs relief in the fact that this whole thing isn't a setup. "Ah yes, the persistent "beware the worshippers of Malar" warning... thanks for that. I've heard of their "fervent defense" of clerical objects. That's why I asked the second part of that question... I need to sell these, but I don't want to broadcast the fact that I'm in possession of them. Do you have any idea how much they may be worth, or who might be interested in buying them?"

Joachim briefly frowns, the ghost of a true emotion, "I am no merchant. I suggest you would be best served by seeking someone who specializes in pricing valuable treasures, Avarice. Is that all you needed?"

"Very well then. Seeing as you've been in this town for awhile, who would you suggest that I speak to in the Merchant's Guild?"

"This may surprise you to learn, Avarice, but I have not spent my time in this town cavorting with the merchant's guild and thus I am ill-equipped to answer that question. Might I suggest Guildmaster Pierre?"

"Of course, Bishop. I apologize for overestimating your involvement with the town in general. If I have need of any further clerical advice, I'll speak to you. Thank you for your time."
Avarice, slightly annoyed, turns and walks back towards the merchant's guild and their leader, Pierre.
