Velira approaches Master Orebreaker's forge, it is early in the day, but she can see the old dwarf is already hard at work.
"Good Morn' Master Dwarf. I have come to seek your expertise. I was hoping you might be able to repair this dagger."
She places the two pieces of the dagger on the counter. It looks to be a very ordinary dagger at first glance, but it does have a unusual elven crest etched into the hilt, and despite being broken, it otherwise was very well cared for.

Orebreaker looks the dagger up and down, "I fear that the blade's done for on this one, but I could forge a new one for the hilt. If you'd prefer, I could even melt down the old blade to do so with."

After thinking upon the age of the original blade, decides a new metal would perhaps be stronger.
"If you could fashion a new blade to the hilt, that would be much appreciated. The old metal has been used for many many years. It is probably not the strongest anymore.
However, do you think you can make anything with the old metal? The dagger is a family possession, it has great sentimental value. Perhaps a cuff bracelet or such?"

Orebreaker breaks into a broad grin, "I can understand sentimental things. I'll forge a new blade for the dagger for ten gold pieces and I'll hammer out a nice cuff bracelet for free with the old metal. It should be ready in about three days time."

"Much appreciated Master Dwarf. I shall return then."
Velira bows and takes her leave.

*****days later*****
Velira approaches the blacksmith's shop, seeing the old dwarf hard at work as always.
"Greeting Master Orebreaker. I received your note my dagger was ready."

Orebreaker finishes annealing the metal on a piece and quenches it in a water basin. When the metal touches the water, large amounts of steam rise up with a loud hissing noise. Orebreaker turns to regard Velira and smiles, "Greetings to you. Allow me to retrieve the blade." He walks over to a small rack in the back of his shop and draws the dagger from a hanging sheath. Returning to Velira, he presents the blade to her, "Here you go, Miss."

Velira picks up the dagger and tests it grip and weight.
"Exceptional work Master Orebreaker. Were you also able to complete the bracelet?"

"Of course, I nearly forgot about it." He bustles over to a counter and withdraws a fine looking steel bracelet ((feel free to design it if you want!)) from beneath the counter. He offers it to Velira as well, "Came out better than expected, I must admit."

Velira is speechless as she looks at the bracelet. The old dwarf is being modest, though plain, she can see the amount of care that went into the crafting.
"Thank you" Velira clears her thought and looks away for a brief moment.
Velira looks in her coin bag, "I believe 10 gold was the agreed upon price?"

Orebreaker nods, "Ten gold."

Velira pays. "Thank you Master Orebreaker. I'm sure I'll be seeing you again." She gives him a grin.
