Alice is leaning on the counter distractedly, and looks up as the visitor enters.
"Back again? What can I help you with today?"

"So... you being knowledgeable on potions and such, I have a question for you... do you have one that will allow me to double my size? I need to be the size of a hill giant, or close to it... I'm hoping for 15 ft or so. Any chance you've got one of those under the counter?"

Alice shakes her head, "I don't have any growth potions right now, and they take some time to simmer. What do you need it for?"
((Alice can only make Growth Potions with her weekly potion class feature, and I'm not supposed to sell those. I guess one of us should check with Danny about this?))

Avarice shakes his head in affirmation. "Understood... how long do you think that it would take to make/acquire one, and what would the cost be? I'm working on a new mining technique that requires it. I can wait on it if you can get it, but if you can't, then I'll have to find someone who can cast the spell or make the potion themselves. Just trying to give my money to people I know before i give it to strangers... commerce loyalty and all."

While you can't sell your "weekly potion", if you get the Enlarge Person spell, you could brew that potion in a more permanent way!(Your weekly potions "go bad" so no one could buy them and use them lately)

"A new mining technique? Are you going to use giant picks or something?" She shrugs. "I have an old recipe for it from my mama, but her potions are sort of meant to be drunk right away. Making that kind of potion with more traditional alchemy would require the right spell, and I don't have it. I'm also fairly sure Damien doesn't."
She drums her fingers on the counter, thinking. "If you'd like, I could send you with some money to talk to the elf or the Boy Wizard, to see if they have a scroll I could buy. I'm not sure where the elf lady is staying and..." She scowls, "I'd rather not let Trebellos know I want something from him. If you bring me a scroll of Enlarge Person, I could brew you some potions. Or, one of those two might be able to sell you some."

Avarice seems impressed with the solution that Alice has come up with.
"Yes, Velira might have access to that spell, you're right. I'll try to remember to ask her when next I see her. As for Trebbelos, I'll speak with him and, if he's capable of either casting the spell or writing the scroll I'll speak to you about what we should do with it from there so that we can both benefit. Or, I could always have someone steal it... a bridge to be crossed once I've arrived at it, in any case. As always, coming to you was the right decision. Thanks for your counsel. Oh, would you be able to begin brewing a potion of invisibility for me? I know that it requires an investment of time and resources, but more and more I'm realizing how beneficial potions can be, and I plan on caring more of them on me in the future. Healing, Invisibility and Haste are at the top of that list. Please let me know whenever you've either of these for sale via a note or a message left for me at the Inn, and I'll be sure to keep you well funded. Again, thanks for the assistance"

"Those are the three that I try to keep in stock. I've got about half a dozen healing potions, and a few each of invisibility and haste draughts." ((I try to keep this thread up to date))

"Well, in that case I'll take one invisibility potion and one healing potion as well."
Avarice jingles a pouch, and then hands it to her.
"That should just about cover it. Would you be able to separate the invisibility potions into single use vials? If not, then I can do that myself later."

"Split them up? Huh, I never thought to do that, but it makes sense. I probably have some spare vials around here you can use, but I'll let you pour them so you can decide how you want to split the dosage."
Alice hands him a half dozen small vials.

OOC- I think it's a cool idea to split invisibility potions up into 6 smaller vials, so I want to clarify the rulings to hopefully preemptively answer any questions: Each potion is 1/6 stone AND each smaller vial is 1/6 stone, because we're using an abstract encumbrance system. Drinking a full potion lasts 1d6+6 turns; splitting the potion into sixths makes each individual dose last 1 turn(10 minutes). You may now resume this transaction!

"Oh, and before I forget..." She steps closer and whispers, "those apartments that Trebbellos and Joachim live in, they have trap doors in the floors, I believe, that lead to little basements. Breaking and entering is morally repugnant, and neither of us would ever do it - especially since getting caught would mean we'd never be able to deal with Trebbellos legitimately again." Alice winks, "Just thought I'd plant that little seed of curiosity."
